Gave me more pleasure than any thunderous and blazing crackers and the sweetest sweets of this world.-------

Yesterday on the day of Diwali ,door bell ranged quite early.My son anmol opened the door.He immediately recognized the cobbler’s son and gave him shoes to polish. I saw a 6-7yrs old child standing in front of me holding the shoes which my son had just given.I got appalled ,he was a tender boy Something flashed in my mind .The boy was holding the shoes to polish and thereby earn some money on the day of LAXMIPUJA.
Many questions rushed to mind and become bewildered.That child was not old enough to understand what I wanted to say .A sense of guilt prevailed in my mind but I was puzzled –today being the day of LAXMIPUJA.What to do?
Suddenly ,I took the shoes from his hand and gave him some rupees to cleberate the Diwali.In the evening I worshipped Laxmi but my worship was done early in the morning---and that gave me more pleasure than any thunderous and blazing crackers and the sweetest sweets of this world.

I am angry ---taking deep breath

JAPANESE METHOD OF CONTROLLING ANGER

Anger is triggered by numerous happenings and events .

 How to control?

Very simple method --

Just start taking deep breath and be in that state for sometime.Anger will vaporise like water ,melt like ice.

How it works ?

Through two ways ---
1.Anger need particular rhythm of breathing .Without that rhythm anger is not possible.A particular ryhthm in breathing or choatic breathing is needed for anger to be.Deep breathing is not in sync with anger.
2.Shifting of mind from anger to breathing .

FEAR

FEAR
In enjoyment, there is fear of disease;
in social position, there is fear of falling off;
in wealth, there is the fear of (hostile) kings;
in honour, there is the fear of humiliation;
in power,there is the fear of foes;
in beauty, there is the fear of old age;
in scriptural erudition, there is the
fear of opponents;
in virtue, there is the fear of traducers;
in body, there is the fear of death;
everything in this world pertaining to men is attended with fear; renunciation alone leads to fearlessness.

Inside of you ,your own self is so much absent that you try to cling to anything in order to feel safe.You are not rooted ,so you try to make ANYTHING your roots.When you are rooted in yourself ---------you will not cling to anything.
How to be rooted in yourself ? Ask questions to yourself and persistently ask answer to yourself ,donot ask answer from others.This is the only way ---yes the only way.You are the question and you are the answer.But answer will follow when you question.

HOW THOMAS ALVA EDISON ACQUIRED THE DEAFNESS AND HIS RESPONSE TO THE EPISODE

HOW THOMAS ALVA ACQUIRED THE DEAFNESS AND HIS RESPONSE TO THE EPISODE
Unfortunately a sudden change came, fraught with disaster. The train, running one day at thirty miles an hour over a piece of poorly laid track, was thrown suddenly out of the perpendicular with a violent lurch, and, before Edison could catch it, a stick of phosphorus was jarred from its shelf,fell to the floor, and burst into flame. The car took fire, and the boy,in dismay, was still trying to quench the blaze when the conductor, a quick-tempered Scotchman, who acted also as baggage-master, hastened to
the scene with water and saved his car. On the arrival at Mount Clemensstation, its next stop, Edison and his entire outfit, laboratory,printing-plant, and all, were promptly ejected by the enraged conductor,and the train then moved off, leaving him on the platform, tearful and indignant in the midst of his beloved but ruined possessions. --------
It was through this incident that Edison acquired the deafness that
has persisted all through his life, a severe box on the ears from the scorched and angry conductor being the direct cause of the infirmity.Although this deafness would be regarded as a great affliction by most people, and has brought in its train other serious baubles, Mr. Edison has always regarded it philosophically, and said about it recently:
"This deafness has been of great advantage to me in various ways. When in a telegraph office, I could only hear the instrument directly on the table at which I sat, and unlike the other operators, I was not bothered by the other instruments. Again, in experimenting on the telephone, I had to improve the transmitter so I could hear it. This made the telephone commercial, as the magneto telephone receiver of Bell was too weak to be used as a transmitter commercially. It was the same with the phonograph. The great defect of that instrument was the rendering of the
overtones in music, and the hissing consonants in speech. I worked overone year, twenty hours a day, Sundays and all, to get the word 'specie' perfectly recorded and reproduced on the phonograph. When this was done I knew that everything else could be done which was a fact. Again, my nerves have been preserved intact. Broadway is as quiet to me as a country village is to a person with normal hearing."

No knowledge is knowledge unless it is lived and experienced.

No knowledge is knowledge unless it is lived and experienced.
Pythagoras is believed to have been born in 570 B. C., very little in known about the man himself except that he traveled a lot, visiting places such as Egypt in his search for knowledge and God
When Greek philosopher Pythagoras reached Egypt to enter a school – a secret esoteric school of mysticism – he was refused entry. And Pythagoras was one of the best minds ever produced. He could not understand it. He applied again and again, but was told that unless he goes through a particular training of fasting and breathing he cannot be allowed entry.
Pythagoras is reported to have said: “I have come for knowledge, not for any sort of discipline.”
But the school authorities said: “We cannot give you knowledge unless you are different. And really, we are not interested in knowledge at all; we are interested in the actual experience. No knowledge is knowledge unless it is lived and experienced. So you will have to go on a 40-day fast, continuously breathing in a certain manner, with a certain awareness on certain points.”
(Note that he had the knowledge but not the experience – Blog author)
There was no other way, so Pythagoras had to pass through this training. After 40 days of fasting and breathing, aware and attentive, he was allowed to enter the school.
There was no other way, so Pythagoras had to pass through this training. After 40 days of fasting and breathing, aware and attentive, he was allowed to enter the school.
Pythagoras reportedly said:
“You are not allowing Pythagoras in. I am a different man; I am reborn. You were right and I was wrong, because then, my whole standpoint was intellectual. Through this purification, my center of being has changed. From the intellect it has come down to the heart. Now I can feel things. Before this training I could only understand through the intellect, through the head. Now I can feel. Now truth is not a concept to me, but life. It is not going to be a philosophy, but rather, an experience – existential.”
What was that technique ?
"Attention between the eyebrows,let mind be before thought.Let form fill with breath essence to the top of the head and there shower as light."

NO TIME IS THE BEST TIME

NO TIME IS THE BEST TIME
You have three time dimension---past ,present and future .Which one is the best time to live-in?
Live-in the time which gives you pleasure ----be past or present or future .Only thing to remember is to remain in the time dimension which gives you pleasure,---which makes you happy----which gives you energy---which empowers you.
If present is troubling--switch to future (imagine of beautiful ,energizing future ) or past (recall pleasurable moments) to achieve state of happiness.
If thinking of past is imparting a sense of uneasiness---move to present or future to achieve a state of joy.
If thinking of future appears gloomy , come to present or roam about in the past to bring yourself in the state of pleasure.
So,no time is the best time ----rather best time is one which empowers you---which makes you happy

18 Students From One Village in Bihar Crack IIT

After the brilliant performance of students from the famed Super 30 institute, comes another success story from Bihar.
Eighteen students from a village near Gaya in south Bihar are among some 26,000 candidates who cracked the entrance exam to the IIT or Indian Institute of Technology. And in a first, a girl from the village has also made it to the list of successful candidates.
Cracking the IIT appears to be a tradition for the Bunkaron village. "Every year, at least 10 students from the village clear this exam," said Rahul Kumar, who ranked 980 in the exam this year. "The environment here is so good that everyone studies together, everyone helps each other out if there is any difficulty."
Almost every house in this village of 10,000 has a power loom, but despite its harsh voice and other odds, these children put in 3-10 hours of study every day to crack the exam.
"We find a place that is somewhat quiet and all IIT aspirants gather there in a sort of study circle. It becomes a good environment," explained Rahul, adding that his uncle had also cleared the IIT exam and is now working in the US.
But in absence of good schools and coaching centres, how does the system work?
"The children who have passed IIT previously help the students here on how to prepare for the exams... There is an NGO for that as well," said Yugeshwar Prasad, the father of one of the successful candidates.
"The seniors provide us with guidance, their notes and even study material," added Rahul.

A baby never settles for less than what he/she could do

We all have dream .Is it not? Yes ,we all have have dream but many us  fail even without recognising that we were harvouring a dream.
A newborn dream for cry to survive ,and ---then survive
A crawler strive to stand and---stand ---not only stand but also run.
A baby bubbles and started speaking.
Have you ever seen  a normal baby failing to  achieve its milestones?
"NO"
"Why"?
Because a baby never settles for less than what he/she could do----they have no limitation in the mind .
What about we well grown-up adult ?
We dreamed and welcome its failure with wide arms.
We have lots of reason to fail ,lots of reason to be nonachiever.
"Why "?
Because we donot harness the power of concentration and focus.
Very rarely we focus our resources on mastering a single area of interest.We focus more on minor things rather than major one ----result is so ovious to all of us.
SO WHAT TO DO?
CHOOSE SINGLE AREA OF INTEREST AND FOCUS ON THAT.You can create history.

Beware ---All Things Are Not What They Seem

Beware ---All Things Are Not What They Seem

 Most people only see the things they think they are seeing.

Here's a story to demonstrate the point:
Two men were walking through the woods when they came
across a big deep hole.
'Wow ... that looks deep,' says one. 'Let's toss a few pebbles
in and see how deep it is.'
They threw in a few pebbles and waited, but there was no
sound.
'Gee - that is a really deep hole. Let's throw one of these
big rocks in. That should make a noise.'
They picked up two football-sized rocks and tossed them
into the hole and waited, but still they heard nothing.
'There's a railway sleeper over here in the weeds,' said one.
'If we toss that in, it's definitely going to make some noise.'
They dragged the heavy sleeper over to the hole and heaved it
in, but not a sound came from the hole.
Suddenly, out of the nearby woods, a goat appeared,
running like the wind. It rushed towards the two men and ran
right between them, running as fast as its legs could go. Then
it leaped into the air and disappeared into the hole. The two
men stood there, astonished at what they'd just seen.
Out of the woods came a farmer who said, 'Hey! Did you
guys see my goat?'
'You bet we did! It was the craziest thing we've ever seen! It
came running like the wind out of the woods and jumped
into that hole!'
'Nah,' says the farmer. 'That couldn't have been my goat.
My goat was chained to a railway sleeper!'

A TALE OF TWO SEVENTY YEAR OLD LADY

A TALE OF TWO SEVENTY YEAR OLD LADY

Two women turn seventy years old, yet each takes a different meaning from the event. One “knows” that her life is coming to an end. To her, seven decades of living mean that her body must be breaking down and she’d better start winding up her affairs. The other woman decides that what a person is capable of at any age depends upon her belief, and sets a higher standard for herself. She decides that mountain climbing might be a good sport to begin at the age of seventy. For the next twenty-five years she devotes herself to this new adventure in mastery, scaling some of the highest peaks in the world, until, in her nineties, Hulda Crooks becomes the oldest woman to ascend Mount Fuji.

You see, it’s never the environment; it’s never the events of our lives, but the meaning we attach to the events—how we interpret them—that shapes who we are today and who we’ll become tomorrow.
Beliefs are what make the difference between a lifetime of joyous contribution and one of misery and
devastation. . Beliefs are what cause some individuals to become heroes, while others “lead lives of quiet desperation.”

Better please yourself.

I brought kalakanda(sweet) .Wife commented it to be rotten.It irritated me because she had predetermined concept about that shop.I asked her to through it out if rotten but next moment she started  enjoying the sweet on pretext that I didnot waste money.This is how her negativity gets reflected ,but she often decline it to be so.No way to prove her and no way to disprove  because she had answer for everything whether right or wrong (more often wrong ) .
I also brought samosa .We all gulped it .No samosa was left for Anmol .Anmol started crying for it.Somehow Anmol was pacified  and is now drinking milk with excessive sugar.
I brought Samosa and kalakand to enjoy evening but ----happened otherwise .I could not please anyone .
Does it happened with me or it is a routine happening in every household?
And ,now I am thinking whom to please------myself or family ?

----------Better please yourself.

ANGER CHANNELISED

Even small chunk of information is a big thing for the person who need it

I was waiting for the metro at Shashtrinagar station ,One middle aged person ,visibly panic,came and enquired about time to reach Anand vihar railway station.He was to take train by 7 pm and it was 5.30 at Shashtrinagar metro station.He was worried and fearing of missing the train.
I assured him that he will reach Anand vihar station well within time .He doubly  checked from me .I emphatically assured him that he would not miss the train.
After that i saw a sense of satisfaction over his face .In the meantime he boarded the metro .

It is a simple incident ,many of us may have similar self -experience.
So what is unusual with this incident ----nothing ---it simply brings to our attention that

1.When you donot know the reality --even so-called small thing  creates panic
2.Proper guidance and correct information takes away the panic response
3.Even small chunk of information is a big thing for the person who need it

Perhaps everyone knows the formula ,What is lacking is the application of those formula

Yesterday ,i started something which i had never done .And it was pleasant experience for me and more for my son .He is in class 6 and is to be promoted to class 7.By this time ,he is tuned to classroom teaching .
But yesterday ,he and his friend were only students in my class ,which was arranged after taking into their consent.

I just stand and took the role of teacher..Moment i stand --a thought prevail --how to begin with? I was not prepared.Suddenly  a question arose in my mind and asked to Anmol (my son ) and his friend (Sneh) ---"what is the most important point for success and particularly for excellent performance in study?
Sneh replied --"concentration and understanding ".
Anmol added --"practice"

I was really impressed with answers .Our child were knowing the success formula even without going through any major motivational and success book .Perhaps everyone  knows the formula ,What is lacking is  the application of those formula .
I asked --"anything more "\
Both Anmol and sneh just started pondering
After some pause ---i asked --what about interest /desire ?
Both jumped to repeat ---yes ----desire is most important  to achieve anything ----desire to learn ,desire to excel ,desire to win,desire to have toy ,desire to play ,desire to see the cartoon ,desire to cycling ,desire to ---desire--desire----desire ---and desire for anything .Nothing happens unless you desire --that is the starting point .

Thereafter i taught both about angles with constant interaction .After ,the class ,our both boys were very much satisfied and surprisingly both  were expressing the high  level of energy ,there were no sign of exhaustation.----clear indication of enjoying my class.
I was also feeling good and energetic  because this short class brought to my attention to four component of success------

1.DESIRE
2.CONCENTRATION
3.UNDERSTANDING
4.PRACTICE.

Mistrust---APJ ABDUL KALAM

Mistrust

We (-indian) have been working with policies and procedures which are mostly based on mistrust .As a result motivation and empowerment are dampened and suppressed ,whereas indian people have shown enormous achievement when provided an environment of trust and working space.

What you think of?
